TECCO^® steel-wire mesh

The TECCO® system stabilises steep slopes: After cleaning, trimming and levelling, the surface is covered with a high-tensile steel-wire mesh, tensioned using claw plates placed level with the anchoring heads. It owes its high-performance to an alloyed, high-tensile steel wire Ø 3 mm.

It is ideal for stabilising landslides and heavier slides, and also for preventing rocks from breaking out. The flexibility of this mesh fits to the topography confining the surface terrains.
Its three-dimensional shape ensures good re-adhesion of vegetation layers.

TECCO® and ROCCO® meshes have a useful life of over 100 years in the face of corrosion.

TECCO® system components :

TECCO® steel-wire mesh :
- High-tensile, alloyed steel wire
- Diamond-shaped meshes matched to the strain conditions prevailing in the slope, three-dimensional structure ensuring good adhesion of vegetation layers
- Tensioned meshes for optimal protection from erosion and rockfall
- Installation-friendly, low unit weight.

TECCO® claw plates :
- Lightweight steel plates reinforced by flutes
- Designed for system prestresses of 30 to 50 kN.
- Force transmission from mesh to anchoring optimised in tests.

TECCO® compression claws :
- Designed to connect meshes and for fixation purposes along the boundaries, these integrally transmit the forces prevailing on the mesh.

Soil and rock nails :
all commercially available grouted anchor bar products can be used.

TECCO® is a system for the stabilisation of slopes which fits unobtrusively into the natural environment but is functionally on par with solid building constructions.

Toughness : TECCO® can be tensioned over sharp rock edges and forms an active and effective protection against rockfall.

Effective life : even in an unfavourable environment, hot-dip galvanising of the system parts and super-coating of the mesh guarantee an effective life of over 100 years and thereby an excellent economic efficiency.

Safety : tensioning is not the system’s only efficiency factor. The meshing and the depth of the anchoring are determined on the basis of the slope’s gradient, the geological characteristic values and the critical layer thickness.

Plus : the TECCO® system allows combining with supplementary measures such as greening or other protection measures against erosion.

Dimensioning : the RUVOLUM® concept allows the three-dimensional study of TECCO® to integrate the specific geotechnical parameters.
